Inch by Inch

2018. Illustration and Graphic Design

As part of my internship, I worked on a personal project of my choice, which is to conceptualize and create the branding for a zine.

inch by inch is about growth, and I wanted to reflect that in the identity through geometric forms and ruler notches.

I wanted to show the contrast between the exactness of clean lines and geometric shapes in branding, and the looseness of organic shapes and textured hand drawn illustration.

Inch by Inch is ultimately about personal growth, and how we always seem to measure and to compare ourselves to others. However, as our worldview grows, we just how much more we have to learn. It may feel overwhelming, but it is also exciting.

It’s a big great world out there.
